GSP-8 temperature recorder is used to record the temperature of foods, medicines, chemicals, and other goods during storage, transportation, and in each stage of the cold chain including cooler bags, cooling cabinets, refrigerators, medicine cabinets, laboratories, reefer containers, and trucks.

The logger features a large LCD screen, one button for operation and internal temperature sensor. It supports audible-visual alarm, two storage modes, and auto shortens logging interval function during alarms. And also it is for wall mounting through the holes at the back of the logger. Direct data reading includes max/min value display.

Fits the bill

Good logger, fits budget and fulfills my obligations

Works well

Initially there was difficulty with getting the external sensory to read, but the online help quickly put this right, advising me to adjust the parameters to read the external sensor rather than the internal one, since which it has worked well. This was done by opening thr driver software and selecting Setting>advance>sensor choice. Solid meter, looks well made.

Neat bit of kit, but software has not been updated

The .dmg file could not be checked by MacOS as it is 4 years old. I had to manually override the mandatory check to install it. The help desk didn’t seem to recognise the issue. That said, once you’ve overcome these obstacles it seems to work really well and is robust and quite accurate enough for most purposes.
